ecoFridge in collaboration with Frappa Trailers exhibited the ‘FT Silent Green’ at this year’s Solutrans Exhibition in Lyon. Chosen from 650 exhibitors, the FT Silent Green system was presented with the award for Innovation, the most prestigious and sought after title of the entire show. The exhibition took place at the Lyon Eurexpo in France from the 2nd to the 6th March and attracted thousands of visitors from across the industry. This highly regarded show which occurs every three years provides the perfect platform for exhibitors to demonstrate their products direct to the end users. The FT Silent Green system is a combination of the ecoFridge cryogenic refrigeration technology installed onto a Frappa Trailer and is a first for the French market. Recently awarded the Cemafroid Piek Certification for silent running, FT Silent Green is set to revolutionise the transportation of refrigerated goods within urban areas by reducing noise pollution and eliminating carbon emissions. Julien Torre, MD of Frappa commented: ecoFridge is a nitrogen based, emission free, silent running refrigeration system which offers an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional diesel fridge units and helps by eliminating CO2 emissions and noise pollution. The system pulls down to set temperature up to 70% faster than a mechanical unit and is significantly less expensive to operate. ecoFridge has been fully ATP certified and has no operational safety restrictions. Tom Roller, President and CEO of ecoFridge said: ecoFridge is currently undergoing a number of working trials with many supermarkets and food transporters around the globe all of whom have seen the benefits of the new, unique transport refrigeration system which saves on running costs, provides more efficient temperature control, significantly reduces maintenance costs, is silent running and emission free.
